Your Tasks
- As the Global focal point, you will direct several work flows within a huge logistics project
- You will actively manage the workflow and critical path for your areas of responsibility
- You will work at a global level with your team to manage functional and technical experts from all levels of the organization
- You will manage a large number of interdependencies and align with your stakeholders throughout global, regional and local projects
- You will ensure that the right levels of action (e.g. describing requirements, selecting solutions and implementing solutions) are achieved on time and in budget
- You will lead and direct each stage of the projects from scoping, to analysis, design, testing and implementation
- You will present progress to the board in different stages of the project and give top management advice for decisions in critical project situations
- You will establish robust plans with business line managers, IT colleagues and external suppliers
- You will take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective actions
Your Profile
- Ability to work in the US is a pre-requisite (US Citizen/Green Card or relevant Visa must be in place)
- Experience in successfully leading and executing of large scale projects in the Logistics industry
- Excellent self- & time-management and ability to meet deadlines with high quality of work – when working and leading teams as well as when working on your own (critical path management)
- Ability to handle a team of Senior Project Managers and be able multi task
- Motivation, team playing and communication skills, self-confidence, poise and ability to talk and present to a C-Level audience
- Mind set of being pro-active and taking initiative to reach targets in time and on budget
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in PRJ Management / Logistics / Consulting
- Good know-how of MS Office products and general IT affinity combined with proficiency within logistics
- Fluent in English in written and oral. Fluency in additional languages would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel internationally
